JQ, of Pure Captivating Entertainment, in Coral Springs, FL, came to us with an outrageous cover concept for his promotional rap/hip hop mixtape. Done right, we felt it'd surely attract attention and pique anyone's curiosity with it's bold claim - "Witness Me Eat These Beats" - and dramatic visual metaphor. He initially wanted it hand illustrated, but after playing around in PhotoShop it was clear we could achieve great results with less cost by combining photo-illustration & hand-illustration rather than 100% hand-illustration. JQ's girlfriend shot the center photo (of JQ) with an iPhone.
The result is a comically dark promotional rap/hip hop mixtape cover that has been turning heads and getting rave reviews and inquiries from the rap/hip hop mixtape community.
